To all the travellers and adventurous people, including me hehe, exploring and wandering in new places is one of the most loved jobs but there are some places on earth where just a visa or pocket full of money won’t help. Yes, we are talking about SECRET PLACES on Earth where only a few people have the luck to visit.
I : Room 39, North Korea – Kim Jong’s Secret Vault
It has been suspected that this top secret location is behind North Korea’s illegal counterfeiting. Illegal drug supplies, weapon distribution are the main activities that are suspected going here.
II : Area 51 – The Biggest Conspiracy Theory of America
From rumours of Alien sightings to the world’s most secretive works is the major attraction of Area 51. Area 51 which is an alias for a military base located in Nevada, around 80 miles north-west of downtown Las Vegas. Right at the centre of the base is a huge military airfield.
The main purpose of the base is to research and develop experimental aircraft and weaponry.
III : Svalbard Global Seed Vault – A place to go in case Apocalypse actually takes place
Also known as the Doomsday Vault, Svalbard Global Seed Vault, located in the North Sea is home to 250 million crop seeds shipped from gene banks worldwide.
Unless you’re a designated researchers or plant breeders you’re not allowed inside the vault.
IV : North Sentinel Island, Andaman – Home of the deadliest tribes
The inhabitants of this island, the Sentinels, are among the last of the groups that have resisted all forms of contact with the outside world.
Attempts to contact the tribe have been met with hostility. People have been attacked by arrows and stones if you get too close to their area.
V : Vatican Secret Archives – Property of the Pope
The archives are not secret despite their names. You can view any document you wish. But you cannot enter the archive. You must submit your request for a document and it will be supplied to you.
The Vatican Secret Archives have been estimated to contain 52 miles (84 km) of shelving, and there are 35,000 volumes in the selective catalogue alone.
VI : Church of Our Lady Mary of Zion
Located in Ethiopia, the Church of Our Lady Mary of Zion is impossible to access because it’s claimed to contain some of the most important biblical objects like the original Ark of the Covenant.
VII : Snake Island, São Paulo – Single bite of these vipers that will melt your flesh!
About 90 miles from the city of São Paulo lies Ilha de Queimada Grande, or “Snake Island” – a place so filled with venomous serpents that it’s been called one of the world’s deadliest islands! Scientists estimate that up to 4,000 snakes live on the 110-acre island – that’s one snake for every six square yards.
Queimada Grande is the only known home of the golden lancehead, one of the most venomous vipers in the world. Its venom is capable of melting human flesh!
I am not going here for sure..!!
VIII : Lascaux Caves, France – Art of the Palaeolithic Age
Covered in 17,300-year-old paintings made by early humans, they depict animals and geometric shapes. The caves have been banned from the public since 1963.
They have been threatened by a series of mysterious fungal invasions.
IX : Bohemian Grove – A secret society of powerful people!
Every summer for around 150-years this secretive California campground hosts a gathering of the most powerful men in the world. Past presidents such as Richard Nixon and Herbert Hoover have attended this. Women are not allowed.
Private meetings at this retreat were directly responsible for the Manhattan project – the project that led to the development of the atomic bomb.
X : Ise Grand Shrine
This ranks very high on the list of places you will never be able to visit because the only person who can enter is the priest or priestess and he must be a member of the Japanese imperial family.
So unless we have a Japanese prince or princess reading the site, no one here will ever see anything more than the thatched roof of the Ise Grand Shrine.
The Ise Grand Shrine in Japan (which is actually a series of over 100 shrines) is the most sacred shrine in Japan.
So these were the places we cannot visit!….anyone if ever gets a chance in any of them do contact me..;)
