Brian Rakowski, Google’s VP of Product Management said “we obsessed over every detail,  from the industrial design to the user experience. We carefully sculpted the surfaces of the phone and rounded the edges to make it easy to grip.

We used 2.5D Corning® Gorilla Glass 4 on the front display and back glass to accent the aerospace grade aluminium body. The glass on the back also features Pixel Imprint, our fingerprint sensor, which is placed on the back of the phone where your finger expects it. You can even swipe it to access your notifications. And no matter what you’re using your phone for, you’ll need a battery that lasts all day and charges fast — up to seven hours of usage in 15 minutes.

Sounds amazing, isn’t it.!

Google is really pleased and excited over pixel’s camera, this is what they said over Google pixel’s camera :

“With a best-ever 89 DxoMark Mobile score, Pixel’s camera lets you take stunning photos in low light, bright light or any light. #Nofilter needed. Catch action shots as they happen with Smart burst, which takes a rapid-fire sequence of shots. Use Lens Blur to achieve shallow depth of field and bokeh effects, making your subject pop. And capture dramatic landscapes or make faces glow with new exposure controls.”

The Pixel and Pixel XL rear camera scores an 89 in DxOMark, impressive and highest rating ever.

II : Google assistant

Google Assistant, the company’s AI-powered question and answer helper bot, is particularly impressive. Also one of the exciting advancement is that If you’ve searched for a local theatre then Assistant will instantly list out all the theatre nearby, and even rank them if you’ve searched or visited them before. WOW!

Google Assistant doesn’t bug you with repeated requests like Siri does, and also the understanding in the context of questions has been improved greatly.

If you are regularly using Siri or Google Now(precursor) then you will be happy with the improvements and advancements.

III :  Endless cloud storage.

Google will allow free unlimited storage for full-resolution images and videos that are shot with google pixel. Much like the Google Photos backup ability, but takes off the size limit and compression, even on 4K video shot with the new phone.

Google relieved us from the mighty storage crisis !

IV : Mobile virtual reality – DAYDREAM

Daydream is Google’s Android-powered VR platform that is a super exciting feature of this phone and only for this phone and also announced its Daydream View VR headset, which is designed to be the most comfortable VR headset in its class.

The Daydream View comes bundled with a tiny motion controller that is very precise, claims Google, that you can even draw with it. Impressive! When you’re done using it, the controller tucks inside the Daydream View itself for safe storage.

You can buy all the google pixel assets at google store. Pre-booking will start from 13th oct.

Pixel will be £599 (32GB) and £699 (128GB) and Pixel XL at £719 (32 GB) and £819 (128GB) via Google Play.
